the first shane longboard, in about 1963!
was around 9’2″ to 9’4″.
we’re not sure because we didn’t have a
measure long enough and had to use a
one yard (3 foot) rule.
so we were a bit out, now we use a computer
and this is a lot more accurate.
Fifty odd years later, we are still doing a 9’2″,
9’4″ and 9’6″, with an 8’4″ girls model as well.
these come in three distinct looks.
A classic stringer, solid 6 plus 4oz deck and
6oz bottom glass, full finish coat and polish,
laminated timber nose and tail block as the final touch.
in the 70’s we decorated some boards by
laminating hippie cloth under the glass.
This year we are doing the same with imitation
timber laminate, filling the range of shane longboards
with a light timber pinstripe model and another with
a dark and light timber combination.
all have the full gloss finish, center fin box and f.c.s fins.
designs available
1. clear, 3 stringers, nose and tail block.
2. light timber with dark pinlines
3. light timber rails , dark timber centre.
